We had a huge weekend for Qughsatkut sports! Our cheer team placed 1st for dance routine and Evelyn earned all-star! Our wrestling team placed 2nd overall! Donald, Ryder, and Ty all earned 1st place! Callie, Clayton, and Landon placed 2nd! Amber and Eddie placed 3rd! And Callie got the outstanding wrestler award!! They also recognized Dusty as a beloved educator and coach 💙🤍Congratulations to all of the other wrestlers and cheerleaders not mentioned here as well! You all represented Sivuqaq with pride! For high school, our volleyball team played well in St Michael and continues to improve individually and as a team!

Good morning Sivuqaq! In recognition of Indigenous People's Day, Gambell School is hosting elders and community leaders for storytelling, Yupik bingo, atuq, and other rotations throughout our school day today. We will finish the day in the gym with a fashion walk to showcase the cultural clothing and atuq. We will go to the gym around 2:30 and the community is invited. Hope to see you there!

Fall School Picture Schedule. All flights have been booked. There are a few modifications in the schedule due to routing that are noted in yellow. Mostly for the southern route. The northern route has one route that the photographer is on standby Wales to Brevig Mission. The southern route has one standby at the end of the route Elim to Nome.

Tomorrow after school, 2:30, there will be a Walk for Life hosted by BHS/NSEDC/Gambell School. We'll end the walk by gathering at the clinic with snacks and drinks. We hope to see everyone out for this important suicide prevention activity!
