Good Afternoon Sivuqaq
We are closely monitoring the weather. At this time, because the students are already in school, it is safer to keep then then send them home early. We will ask that students walk home in groups and older siblings with younger siblings. But, as always, parents and guardians may pick up their child(ren) if they feel that would be safer. Please, be safe.
We have our new hoodies and tshirts in! We only have adult sizes (s-4x) on this order but kids sizes coming soon! 35 for the hoodie, and 20 for the shirt. We’ll open up student store around 8:30 tonight to sell them so get here before we sell out.
With the power and phones being down I hope some people still get this on facebook. The school is staying open as a shelter for those with no heat. We are canceling school tomorrow, 1/19. Spread the word as much as possible. Stay safe and stay warm ❤️
With the ongoing power outage we are going to make the gym available for families to come warm up. Please remember school is in session so be respectful and remember to social distance with all of these sicknesses flying around again. Thank you and be safe!
FAFSA night tomorrow, 1/19/23 6pm at the school. Kawerak will come to work with our school counselor, and will be bringing food. This is a great opportunity for seniors and graduates to get their paperwork ready for the next step.
Good morning. Due to the high winds and dangerous temps. we will have a late start. Staff should arrive at 10:00 am, breakfast at 10:30 am, school begins at 11:00 am. Parents, as always, if you feel it is unsafe for your student, you may keep them home, just remember to call the school to excuse them prior to the start of classes. Have a great day and stay safe.

After careful consideration,administration has decided to cancel school due to the deterioration of the weather. We will have a makeup day January 21, 2023. Student start time will be 9:00 am and school will end at 1:30 pm with breakfast starting at 8:30 am. Staff should plan on being at work at 8:00 am. As always, please stay safe.

Gambell School will be having a PEP Rally tomorrow afternoon at 2:45. Come out and cheer on the boys and girls basketball teams. Girls will be going to Shaktoolik and boys will be going to White Mountain. GET UP AND YELL GAM!!
Good morning! It's Ball Game Day in Sivuqaq! Doors open at 1:00 with the first game at 1:30 (total of 4 HS girls games). This means no atuq with school being dismissed at 1:30. Students leaving school that want to attend the game will have to go around to the normal game door entrance. Little Dribblers/Middle School teams might have some games in there as well :)

Just a reminder that we are having a second Christmas Bazaar today in the gym, 4-7pm. Last minute tables can still be purchased, see Zach when you get here :)
Due to the Christmas Program setup there will be no after school activities including practice, and homework club/tutoring. The Christmas Program starts at 6:30 but participating children should be here a little early to get organized with their class. Thank you so much and we look forward to seeing you here tonight!
Quyanalghii Kuusma Sivuqaq! We are having our Christmas Program tomorrow, December 14th at 6:30 pm. There will be hot chocolate, and cookies available. We have some great songs, dances, and skits planned so come out to support the students and celebrate the holidays!

Today we have atuq at 1:00, dismissal at 1:30. Girls Basketball at 1:30 with Boys Basketball after that. Gym time resumes normal schedule this weekend, 7:00-9:00 for littles and 9:00-11:00 for bigs.

Due to popular demand we are going to have a second Christmas Bazaar. 12/5 4:00-7:00 in the school gym. Contact Zach (2510) to reserve and purchase a table.
Northwest Campus is putting on a FAFSA night 12/13 6:45-7:45 for anyone that wants helping completing their FAFSA application. Our counselor, Zach, will also be available to help. This is especially important for seniors looking for options after graduation but also adults are welcome too.
