Good Morning Sivuqaq. The BSSD School Board Members declared a vacant board seat for the Gambell and Savoonga communities. This seat will be filled by appointment at a December 4 Special Meeting to be held in the Savoonga School. The appointed board member will serve until the next REAA election. There will be monthly board meetings and stipends. Travel and lodging will be arranged by BSSD. - Candidates must be a resident of Gambell and a registered voter. - Cannot be an employee of BSSD Please contact the school or come by to fill out a Declaration of Candidacy if interested.

Good Afternoon Sivuqaq! As we prepare for our upcoming Veteran’s Day program, we would like to honor our veterans with a special tribute featuring their photographs. We kindly request that you share pictures of our veterans, both in uniform and in civilian attire. **For the program, we would also like to request any uniforms, medals, etc. to display in honor of our Veterans for their service. Please send your photos by Friday, Nov. 8th, 2024, to ensure we have enough time to include them in the program. You can email them directly to me at maggie.gray@gam.bssd.org. Or text/message them to Maggie. Please include name & military info if you have it with the picture(s).
