Good Evening Sivuqaq, We hope everyone is doing well. Some concerns have been brought to our attention regarding Open Gym. The Student Government and Administration have come up with a proposed solution. The students were creative in their suggestions and helping to problem solve. Please review the scheduled nights and times. This would begin tonight, Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2024. We gladly welcome any feedback to help make this a positive experience and fun for everyone! While the storm has lessened, we still ask that everyone please be safe and use caution when traveling to school. Your safety continues to be our top priority. Here are the days: Wednesday, Oct. 23: Team up against drugs! Wear your favorite sports team! Thursday, Oct. 24: From head to toe, I’m drug free! Crazy hair & sock day! Friday, Oct. 25: Put drugs to sleep! Pajama day! Monday, Oct. 28th: Wear red for Red Ribbon Week! Tuesday, Oct. 29th: Cozy up with healthy choices! Wear fleece or flannel Wednesday, Oct. 30th: “Orange” you're glad you’re making healthy choices? Wear orange & black Thursday, Oct. 31st: Costume Day! Parade? - No weapons, gory, etc.

Good Morning! We have an UPDATED game time schedule due to a team canceling. Here's the new schedule: Today, Friday, Oct. 18, 2024 - Doors open at 5:30PM - GAM vs WMO 6:00PM Tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024 - Doors open at 10:00AM - WMO vs GAM at 10:30AM

WINTER GEAR It is that time of year when temperatures are dropping below freezing and snow and ice are forming around the region. As of Friday, October 18th full winter gear will be required on flights from villages to hubs (Nome and UNK). Winter gear includes winter boots, snow pants, winter coat, gloves and hats are required to be worn not just carried or stored in a backpack. This requirement is for all students and staff traveling on school related trips, including charters, BSSD plane and seat fare. They will not be allowed on any plane without their proper gear.

Good Afternoon Sivuqaq! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far. We will celebrate Indigneous People's Day on Monday, Oct. 14, 2024. All classes will have rotations, speakers, etc. to celebrate throughout the day. We will have an NYO Game Demo from 12:30-1:00PM. Please join us for a school wide & community Atuq from 1:00-1:30PM. We will have an early out to enjoy this day to celebrate!
